How to get to Southern Touraine

Southern Touraine is ideally situated for exploring the Loire Valley without any stress. Its position slightly to the south of the royal river means you can be sure of a top quality holiday close to a wealth of attractions and experiences.

Travelling by car

Southern Touraine is easily accessible from Paris, Caen, Rennes, Nantes, Bordeaux, Clermont-Ferrand and Lyon via the A10 and A85 motorways. The excellent departmental roads ensure a convenient and reliable network for descovering the 67 villages.

Travelling by train

The Loches railway station is connected to Tours by regional trains and buses REMI. The line also stops at Cormery, Reignac-sur-Indre, Azay-sur-Indre and Chambourg-sur-Indre (all villages along the Indre à Vélo).

The TGV railway station at Saint-Pierre-des-Corps is at around 40 mn from Loches and 5 mn from Tours railway station.

The regional train line from Tours to Poitiers stops at Sainte-Maure de Touraine and La Celle-Saint-Avant . Other regional bus lines connect Tours to Le Louroux, Le Grand-Pressigny and Descartes
